Assume for the purpose of this assignment that you are a member of the Senate of the United States.  As a member of the Senate, would you support or not support these following legislative options?

Option or Proposal

    Name an aircraft after a fellow member of the Senate.
    Move a federal training facility from one state to another at a cost to the government of $2.5 million.
    Increase the credit a taxpayer gets for having a minor dependent with a tax expenditure of $10 billion.
    Commission a study of the effectiveness of most favored nation status on trade.  Cost to the government of $3 million.
    Keep an unneeded military base open for a cost to the government of $50 million.
    Provide a state, other than your own, an additional $100 million for its interstate highways.
    Name a federal office building after a favorite son of the state the office building is located in.  No additional cost to the government.
    Raise taxes $15 billion.
    Locate a Government Printing Office facility in a state, other than you own, that costs $25 million more than another state.
    Spend $10 million for a Science and Technology museum in a small city in a state other than your own.
    Support a tax credit to encourage alternative fuel development with a tax expenditure of $100 million.
