Unit 13
1. Once the president receives a bill, he has ten days to decide
whether to approve or veto
it. Approved bills are signed by the president, often in a public
ceremony including the bill's key supporters.

2.Bills that are
vetoed are sent back to the house of origin with a message
from the president indicating his areas of disagreement. A bill
can still become a law if two-thirds of each chamber agree to
override the veto. Otherwise the legislation as written is dead.
